Saturday, May 9th, we did our community service project. It was a beautiful, 80 degree day, and we cleaned a local park.
We pulled weeds...
and more weeds...
We discussed what we should do next...
maybe pull some more weeds?
Everyone pitched in... including some moms and dads of our delegates! 
Ah ha! We were wondering who had left the pink gloves. I think Lynne took them for safe-keeping.
There were lots of leaves we both raked, and swept out from under the bleachers. Every once in a while, we'd find a gold mine of sunflower seeds.
Holding the bags open was an important job... we went through a LOT of bags!
The playground area was a spot we cleaned...including the sandbox.
It was a fun day for sure. I love the times when the delegates can have time to get to know each other. It won't be long before we take off... to London for our first stop!
